Statement by the Iranian Embassy in Tbilisi Regarding the Israeli Regimes Attack on Irans Diplomatic Building in Syria

The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tbilisi vehemently condemns the Israeli regime’s assault on the consular section of Iran’s Embassy in Damascus.

 This reprehensible act by the Israeli regime constitutes a blatant violation of the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. Furthermore, it represents a grave transgression of international law and the principles outlined in the UN Charter, as it encroaches upon the sovereignty of Syria and targets diplomatic facilities and personnel, thereby posing a threat to regional security and stability.

Our Embassy extends heartfelt sympathy and solidarity to our colleagues at the Embassy of Iran in Syria. We express our deepest condolences to the families of the seven Iranian military advisors who tragically lost their lives. Our thoughts are with the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the government, and the people of Iran during this sorrowful time.

This despicable act underscores the terrorist nature of the Israeli regime, which, in the past six months alone, has ruthlessly claimed the lives of over 30,000 Palestinians. The Zionist regime of Israel represents a paramount threat to international peace, stability, and security. The international community must utilize all available means to hold this regime accountable and unequivocally condemn its criminal actions.

Once again, we affirm the unwavering commitment of the Islamic Republic of Iran to combat terrorism and stand in solidarity with the oppressed.
